Marko Lukic

Locum Consultant Ophthalmologist at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, UK

Dr Marko Lukic focuses his research on real-life data results and treatment of diabetic macular oedema and wet age-related macular degeneration. Daily, he works at Moorfield’s Eye Hospital in London with all sorts of hands-on treatments of uveitis and different retinal conditions.

Marko started his journey towards becoming a renounced European MD specialist in ophthalmology at the university Zagreb, Croatia (his home town). In 2020, he added specialist ophthalmology limited to the medical retina to his medical resumé. At the hospital, he leads interdisciplinary ophthalmology teams. They implement and develop modern diagnostic imaging technologies, telemedicine, and AI systems.

His professional network is international and diverse, as he has travelled the world to attend conferences like ASRS and ARVO in the U.S. and EURETINA in Europe. Dr Lukic has involved himself in cross-border projects such as the Eye Health Africa Project, educating local ophthalmologists in Uganda. He is a Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology.
